Job Overview

Technical Staffing Resources is a leading provider of specialized talent to the engineering, construction, and services industries. We are partnering with KBR, a global leader in these sectors, to deliver high-quality projects on six continents.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Specialist to join our team for a 6+ month contract. This role will be based in the UK and will involve working on a variety of projects, including process control and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Ensure the quality, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and completeness of overall work to KBR I&C engineering principles; compliance with established standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances; adherence to project schedules.
  2. Design Development: Develop preliminary and final stage I&C, and design deliverables, including contributing to P&IDs Instrument List, Instrument Specifications, and Instrument Data Sheets.
  3. System Design: Assist with design development for DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based process control systems for clients and projects.
  4. Solution Evaluation: Evaluate and select instrument, control valve, and analyzer solutions. Review vendor documentation for compliance with project and process specifications.
  5. System Development: Develop the design of process control and automation systems in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with client counterpart to develop control systems concepts, architectures, and control platforms as applied to the client project.
  7. Project Planning: Prepare MTO based on experience and scope of the project.
  8. Coordination: Work with end users and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to coordinate the application of automation products.
  9. Automation Functions: Perform automation-related job functions as assigned, including I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control elements.
  10. Cultural Awareness: Awareness of Norwegian standards preferred.
