Job Overview

Cepac Rotherham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our Conversion team. As a key member of our senior operational team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in production and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in maintaining the highest standards of Health and Safety on your shift.
  • Deliver production KPIs across the team to achieve operational plan targets in all aspects of people management, safety, productivity, quality, hygiene, and machine performance.
  • Ensure the plant runs consistently over the 24/5 period during your shift.
  • Provide engaging and empowering leadership to drive safety standards and achieve operational success.
  • Motivate and develop the skills of team members to improve competences and confidence levels.
  • Plan resources and manage the Time and Attendance system.
  • Work closely with Continuous Improvement to drive necessary standards and engage with ideas and initiatives for improvements and cost savings.
  • Maintain site hygiene standards and ensure all departments follow BRC protocols for AA accreditation.
  • Work with the engineering team to achieve planned PPM and TPM schedules, maximizing machine reliability, efficiency, and reducing downtime.

Requirements

  • Production management experience in a Corrugator or Conversion industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and coach a team.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to learn new techniques and convert them into best practice.
  • Energy and enthusiasm to drive business goals and be competent in dealing with data and using Microsoft Office suite.
