About the Role

Pertemps TM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Shift Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Operations Management: Oversee the operation and monitoring of our plants on a 24-hour basis, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Issue Investigation: Investigate any issues or disturbances that may arise in plant operations.
  • Performance Reporting: Report on plant performance, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and manage alarm systems.
  • Customer Demand Management: Ensure customer demand is met in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend strategies to improve plant performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Higher National Certificate (HNC) or higher qualification in electrical, instrumentation, chemical engineering, or a related process field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in analyzing and resolving problems, conducting fault-finding, and investigating process issues through data interpretation.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, influencing and collaborating with colleagues to achieve business objectives.
  • Continuous Learning: Interest in acquiring new skills, fostering personal development, and embracing challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Previous experience in control room operations using Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) software such as SCADA/PCS7 Siemens.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate within a fast-paced environment.
