**Job Title:** Lead Compliance Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Lead Compliance Specialist to join our team at Clifton Search. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) efforts, ethics, and compliance initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • **Collaborate with Corporate Affairs, Legal, and Compliance Teams:** Work closely with these teams to design, improve, and maintain our compliance programs.
  • **Provide Legal Support:** Offer expert advice on compliance and ethics matters across the business, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • **Risk Management:** Identify and mitigate legal risks, providing guidance on risk mitigation measures.
  • **Support Business Operations:** Assist with product safety and health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • **Regulatory Engagement:** Advise on interactions with regulators and government bodies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • **Reporting and Documentation:** Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance efforts.
  • **Staying Up-to-Date:** Monitor legislative changes, relevant case law, and industry best practices, providing practical advice to colleagues.

Requirements:

  • **Strong Background in Compliance and Ethics:** Proven experience in Anti-Bribery and Corruption, internal investigations, and compliance.
  • **Excellent Communication Skills:** Strong ability to communicate complex ideas, assess risks, and provide practical solutions.
  • **Business Acumen:** Demonstrated drive to support the business and add value to our services.
  • **UK Qualified Solicitor or Barrister:** Essential qualification for this role.
  • **Nice to Have:** Experience in Health and Safety, familiarity with the defence, aviation, manufacturing, or technology sectors, and in-house experience.
