Role Overview: In this pivotal role, you will spearhead a dedicated team tasked with evaluating and certifying organizations' cybersecurity measures in alignment with the Cyber Essentials framework. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the assessment process, ensuring adherence to established standards, and managing a group of assessors to deliver exceptional services to our clientele. Furthermore, you will remain informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and regulations to continuously enhance the assessment process. Experience with PCI compliance is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery:
- Oversee the daily execution of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials PLUS certifications.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to clients throughout the certification journey.
- Maintain necessary certifications to fulfill the role (VA+, CPSA/CRT/CSTM/OSCP).
- Conduct thorough gap analyses and risk assessments pertaining to information security frameworks.
Team Leadership:
- Offer leadership, direction, and mentorship to a team of Cyber Essentials assessors.
- Encourage a positive and collaborative team atmosphere to boost productivity and job satisfaction.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training and development opportunities.
Management of Assessment Processes:
- Supervise the complete assessment process, from client engagement to the issuance of certifications.
- Ensure assessments are performed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with the Cyber Essentials framework and relevant standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined processes to optimize assessment workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, internal personnel, and group stakeholders.
- Assist with any compliance investigations as necessary.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement stringent quality assurance protocols to uphold the integrity and credibility of the assessment process.
- Review assessment reports and certification documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
- Identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective measures as needed to improve assessment quality.
Regulatory Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about cybersecurity regulations, industry best practices, and emerging threats to refine assessment methodologies and standards.
- Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements, tool enhancements, and training initiatives to bolster the effectiveness of the assessment team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to adapt assessment processes in response to changes in regulatory requirements or industry standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain precise records of assessment activities, client interactions, and certification outcomes.
- Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and certification documentation for clients and regulatory authorities as required.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of assessment metrics, performance indicators, and other relevant data to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Preferred qualifications for this role include, but are not limited to: VA+, CRT, CSTM.
- Experience in delivering Cyber Essentials Self-Assessments and Cyber Essentials Plus Audits.
