Job Title: Application Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for promoting the availability, performance, security, and effective provisioning of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of our business processes to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform regular system monitoring to ensure the integrity and availability of software resources and processes.
  • Participate in incident and problem resolution, including identification, diagnosis, and root cause analysis.
  • Actively communicate risks, operational problems, and incidents to ensure rapid resolution and minimal impact on services.
  • Respond to requests for support in a timely fashion to meet overall service levels.
Requirements:
  • Experience in implementing and supporting applications.
  • Ability to understand business processes and operate cross-functionally to resolve technical problems.
  • iSeries/A400 technical skills.
  • Infor System 21, Navision, Great Plains, Tropos, QlikSense, Kronos, EDI (integrations), PowerApps (desirable).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Flexible and able to make good judgments.
