The analysis of the Dreadnought Whole Boat Shock and EGV requirements (e.g. policies, general technical specifications, etc.) involves reviewing compliance with tenders, which may require interaction with suppliers to manage delivery expectations concerning the level of Shock and EGV qualification evidence. Collaborating with and evaluating documentation produced by the Combat Systems engineering teams is essential.

Responsibilities include reviewing, developing, and approving physical test plans and procedures submitted by suppliers, as well as the review and acceptance of supplier Shock and EGV qualification evidence, which includes classical manual stress calculations, Finite Element Analysis reports, and physical test reports. You will also be responsible for presenting and delivering Combat Systems equipment Shock and EGV qualification evidence to clients.


Qualifications:

Candidates should possess experience in structural engineering and analysis techniques, particularly classical manual stress calculations and various Finite Element Analysis methods, along with the ability to interpret the results. Proficiency in mathematical software such as Mathcad or Mathematica is required.

Experience in the development and management of technical requirements and acceptance activities within one of the following sectors is essential: submarine, defense, construction, maritime, or a similar field.


Additional Experience:

Familiarity with the design of equipment for submarines or surface vessels and/or experience in generating shock qualification evidence (including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis) for such equipment is highly desirable.
