Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist/CBT Therapist/Psychotherapy Specialist to join our team at the Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological therapeutic input into our Addiction Plus services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, and therapy across the range of clinical presentations.
  • Work autonomously and make appropriate clinical decisions.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary team working, working alongside colleagues across the partnership.
  • Offer advice on service user's psychological care to colleagues and other relevant agencies, working within professional guidelines.
  • Provide a key role in psychological aspects of service development in service areas of primary responsibility.

Person Specification
  • Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent prior to 1996) and HCPC registration; Or Postgraduate Diploma qualification in Cognitive and/or Behavioural Psychotherapy AND Accreditation with BABCP as a CBT therapist. With either a prior core profession or via KSA route. Or Masters or above in a psychotherapy and accredited as a psychotherapist with UKCP or BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council)
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies used to treat the population of service users specified in the job summary.
  • Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
