**Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Service Manager to join our Child Protection Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Service Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the service, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Service Manager, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and preparing reports.
  • Ensure the effective operation of the service, including managing budgets, monitoring performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, including writing and reviewing documents, and implementing changes.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager and other team members to achieve service goals and objectives.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff members, including training and development.
  • Monitor and report on service performance, including identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, and other healthcare professionals.

**Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures, including data protection and confidentiality.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
