**Job Summary:**
Mckinlay Law is seeking an experienced Administrative Manager to join our team. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the secretarial team and providing exceptional support to our lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resource Planning: Monitor and manage workload and ongoing administrative needs of the business.
- Advising and Administering Budget Control: Advise and administer budget control for assigned support departments.
- Performance Management: Work collaboratively with HR and the Director of Administration to identify and take ownership of performance management/development and reviews, capability and ER issues, L&D requirements, absence management etc.
- Holiday and Absence Management: Monitor and approve holiday, absence and overtime requests through a thorough understanding of business needs and with oversight of resources and cost implications.
- Team Management: Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting professional growth and development.
- IT Support: Work with IT to build an understanding of new technology and assist in the roll out of updates where administrative support assistance is required.
- Quality and Efficiency: Proactively work with the Director of Administration on wider initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of the administrative teams.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with the administrative teams, implementing and leading effective communication processes such as regular team meetings.
Requirements:
- Office / departmental / team management experience from either another law firm or professional services firm.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience in change management.
