We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team at GIOS Technology.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the Payments Orchestration Layer platform team. This role requires a hands-on DevOps professional who can operate independently and possesses strong knowledge of IKP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the DevOps initiatives for the Payments Orchestration Layer platform.
  • Collaborate with architecture and application teams to analyze project requirements.
  • Assist in transforming existing applications and solutions to align with advanced architectural standards.
  • Support the operational aspects of payment solutions.
  • Influence and adhere to internal DevOps principles.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders and lead discussions on broader architectural matters.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Guide the DevOps team to enable automated infrastructure delivery and execute DevSecOps value streams.
  • Provide analytical solutions to both technical and business challenges.
  • Implement technology strategies that align with corporate vision and objectives.
  • Stay informed about business and technology trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic technical architecture.
  • Offer technical solutions to business challenges and provide leadership to management.
  • Remain updated on advancements in technology and business strategies relevant to the role.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and advise management accordingly.
  • Resolve any architectural or development obstacles encountered.
  • Provide guidance to project team members as directed by project management.
  • Assist in the planning, design, programming, documentation, and implementation of systems.
  • Review new and existing systems to ensure operational integrity and effectiveness.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and senior management to define cloud strategies and conduct proof of concepts for new technologies.
  • Deliver architectural guidance to developers based on best practices and global standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant controls and standards.
  • Maintain expertise in current tools, technologies, and regulations related to cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Ensure service resilience and recovery objectives are met for all software solutions delivered.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
  • 6+ years of experience with Kafka, including active participation in the Kafka open-source project.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure components such as Linux OS, networking, and storage.
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh technologies.
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Splunk.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies and DevOps practices, including network and firewall management.
  • Strong SQL coding skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of the payments industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to work autonomously and think creatively.
  • Passion for leading and developing technology professionals through mentoring and coaching.
  • Excellent listening skills and a commitment to accountability for both personal and organizational success.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities for problem identification and solution formulation.
  • A collaborative team player who demonstrates initiative and sound judgment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to negotiate and influence technical decisions.
