As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that your site operates seamlessly to meet customer expectations.

Your leadership will guide a team dedicated to maintaining safety, efficiency, and high-quality standards while managing various projects across our network to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and promote a culture centered around safety and employee wellbeing.
  • Evaluate and implement modifications to sustain high levels of quality and productivity.
  • Manage initiatives aimed at refining processes, optimizing productivity, and enhancing service quality for customers within your jurisdiction.
  • Assess shift performance against key business objectives and initiate actions to elevate our operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardize operational practices across shifts.

A Day in the Life

Your role will involve working on a shift basis at one of our facilities, ensuring maximum productivity.

Your primary focus will be to cultivate a culture of safety while upholding quality and performance standards during shifts.

You will also oversee process enhancements within your area and lead their implementation. A typical day will include a variety of tasks, from routine team management and daily operational duties to process improvement initiatives and large-scale operational contingency efforts.

Additionally, you will serve as a mentor and role model for new managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree.
  • Relevant experience in managing teams.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • Experience in utilizing data or anecdotal evidence to inform business decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in both verbal and written English and the local language.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Background in a logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional context.
