About the Role

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Neonatal Unit, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the unit, coordinating admissions and discharges, and maintaining the highest standards of care for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Neonatal Unit team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among staff members.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing delays.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a Neonatal Unit.
  • Qualifications in Specialty.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including long shifts, days, and nights.
