Job Title: Ward Sister/Charge Nurse

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team on Avon Ward. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses to deliver high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating admissions and discharges, maintaining high standards of patient care, and supporting junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges
  • Maintain high standards of patient care
  • Support junior members of the team
  • Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager to achieve ward goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience on a cardiology inpatient ward
  • Advanced ECG interpretation skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
