About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Learning Disability Caseworker to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support to individuals with learning disabilities and their families.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide accessible advice on welfare benefits, housing, health, and community care. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop personalized advice resources to empower them to make informed decisions.

As a Learning Disability Caseworker, you will be based in a location of your choice, with occasional travel to casework venues and our Peterborough office. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours) on a fixed-term contract until September 2027.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on welfare benefits, housing, health, and community care to individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
  • Develop and maintain preventative advice resources to support our clients.
  • Work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop personalized advice plans.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in giving advice or an equivalent relevant qualification or experience in a specific advice area.
  • Experience of working in an outcomes and impact-focused advice service, including safeguarding.
  • Experience of working with a CRM system and keeping clear advice records.
  • A robust understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of social care, healthcare, and welfare benefits.
