This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the lives of individuals by collaborating with the team to assist clients in preventing and addressing homelessness.

The position involves managing inquiries related to housing benefit claims, ensuring effective handling of correspondence, guiding clients through the housing registration process, and offering insights into various housing alternatives. This dynamic, customer-focused role ensures that each day presents new challenges and opportunities.

ROLE OBJECTIVE: To deliver a comprehensive housing options triage service to the public, primarily aimed at preventing homelessness. Responsibilities include addressing initial housing advice inquiries via telephone, written communication, and face-to-face interactions, as well as providing administrative assistance to the Advisers and Team Leader.

The ideal candidate will be expected to work from an office for a specified number of days each week, with the remainder of the work being conducted remotely. Proficiency in computer systems and communication is essential, along with the ability to manage diverse inquiries from individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Familiarity with the Homelessness Reduction Act is beneficial but not mandatory.
