Position Overview

Role: Lead ESG Advisor - German Proficient

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office weekly)

Compensation: Competitive Salary Based on Experience

Languages Required: English and German (Fluent)

Timely Recruit Ltd is in search of a Lead ESG Advisor proficient in German to enhance their growing consultancy team, engaging with diverse industry sectors, with a focus on private equity clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead ESG Advisor, your primary duties will include:

  • Engaging with executive leadership and senior management of both new and existing clients to facilitate their understanding and documentation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors within their organizations, guiding them on their path to achieving Net Zero.
  • Documenting findings in an annual ESG Impact Report, which will be disseminated to various stakeholders.
  • Generating consulting revenue through ESG maturity evaluations, conducting due diligence for private equity, and preparing annual ESG Impact Reports.
  • Assessing Net Zero baseline calculations, formulating carbon reduction strategies, and crafting TCFD-aligned climate risk management plans.
  • Evaluating and benchmarking clients on ESG performance metrics, delivering actionable strategies for sustainable long-term value creation.
  • Overseeing a small team (3-4 members) of ESG Consultants.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Environmental, Social, or Governance aspects of Sustainability within a business consulting framework.
  • A strong passion for Net Zero, ESG, or Sustainability initiatives.
  • Fluency in German is essential.
  • Adept at writing as a consultant, as this is a significant component of the role.
  • Proficient in Decarbonisation strategies, Net Zero advisory, and carbon management.
  • Experience in investor reporting, including familiarity with TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures).
