Role Location: Aberdeen / London

Position Purpose:

  • The Security and Resilience Specialist will facilitate the execution and management of the Security Management System and Business Continuity Management System, including investigations and intelligence analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a framework for security information collection and analysis to provide effective situational awareness, aiding sound business decision-making.
  • Integrate Business Continuity Management procedures into the overall Management System.
  • Draft and guide Security Management policies and procedures through the approval process into the Management System.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments to prioritize the development of Security policies and the implementation of procedures.
  • Collaborate with various Assets and Functions to ensure the integration of security procedures into daily operations.
  • Lead and assist in investigations as necessary.
  • Perform Business Impact Analysis to determine business process prioritization across functions and assets.
  • Conduct continuity requirements analysis across functions and assets to inform the Business Continuity Staff Plan, Facilities Plan, and IT Service Continuity Plan.
  • Support the Chief Security Officer in threat analysis and provide assistance to Business Units and Crisis Management Teams as required.

Essential Skills:

  • A university degree (BSc or equivalent) and Chartered Security Professional (CSyp) or equivalent status.
  • Prior experience in a Security role within the Oil & Gas sector or a comparable industry, or a recent background in Law Enforcement, Military, or similar Government Agency.
  • Experience in conducting investigations is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, including the ability to work in remote and challenging environments, such as onshore and offshore exploration, production, and construction sites.
  • Knowledge of security regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the oil and gas industry, along with experience using security technology systems and tools.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to evaluate security risks and vulnerabilities and devise effective mitigation strategies.
