About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Molecular Biologist to join our Research and Development team at Oxford Gene Technology. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in the research and development of new products and technologies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and significant experience in the development of IVD molecular biology products. You will be responsible for leading internal and external project meetings, proposing and evaluating new products, and developing molecular biology technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership for research, development, and improvement of new and existing assays.
  • Project Management: Manage large projects, including project planning, milestones, timelines, experimental design, and implementation of laboratory work.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research and development of new products and technologies, including researching, developing, and improving new and existing products.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, FAS, and the wider commercial team.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Molecular Biology or a related field.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in molecular biology technologies.
  • Proven experience in the development of IVD molecular biology products.
  • Ability to establish new scientific contacts and networks.
