Job Description

**Job Title:** Financial Operations Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at O.C.O Technology Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual management and statutory information, including tax matters.
  • Lead and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the operations and commercial teams to optimize business performance.
  • Manage banking relationships, including reporting under facility agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
  • Manage external audit processes, working alongside auditors to produce statutory accounts for sign-off.
  • Support the Finance Director on future projects, including new systems, process enhancements, and internal control strengthening.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and projects as requested by the Finance Director or the Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience of leading and mentoring a finance team.
  • Proven business partnering skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong IT and systems knowledge, and comprehensive understanding of accounting software and Microsoft packages.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Waste/Aggregate/Haulage markets.
  • Knowledge of Sage 50.
