Position Overview

Scrivens Ltd is seeking a qualified NHS Hearing Specialist to join our team in the North Central London region. This role involves providing audiology services at various Scrivens locations.

The ideal candidate will be a registered professional with either RCCP or HCPC credentials and possess a valid UK driving license. You will be responsible for conducting hearing assessments, diagnosing hearing issues, and recommending appropriate hearing aid solutions for adult patients.

Your role will require you to perform audiological procedures with efficiency and precision, ensuring adherence to best practices. Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and compliance with relevant Codes of Practice is essential. We collaborate with leading hearing aid manufacturers and utilize state-of-the-art audiology equipment to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver diagnostic audiology and rehabilitation services, including the dispensing of NHS hearing aids to adults with identified hearing loss.
  • Promote and adhere to best clinical practices.
  • Manage customer information competently.
  • Dispense NHS hearing aids and provide rehabilitation and aftercare services.
  • Comply with national, local, and company policies, procedures, and current legislation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Professional Duties and Expectations

Your performance will be evaluated based on:

  • Personal productivity aligned with agreed performance standards.
  • Meeting targets for NHS hearing system supply.
  • Adherence to professional and clinical standards.

  • Monitoring NHS contract performance metrics.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and provide tailored advice.
  • Perform case history evaluations and otoscopy.
  • Administer routine audiometric tests, including Puretone Air Conduction and Bone Conduction Audiometry.
  • Take aural impressions and select appropriate ear molds.
  • Fit and program hearing instruments, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Deliver a structured aftercare program for customers.
  • Utilize outcome measures to assess the effectiveness of hearing instruments.
  • Maintain accurate records and treatment plans.
