Brackenberry Ltd is collaborating with a Local Authority to recruit a Mechanical & Electrical Project Coordinator for a 5-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension based on client needs. We invite qualified candidates to submit their CVs for consideration.

Compensation: £350 per Day

Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, cost-efficient Mechanical engineering service tailored to the requirements of various client groups and the residents. The role involves ensuring compliance with the Council's operational strategies, financial regulations, and performance targets while fostering partnerships with contractors to enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Mechanical aspects of planning, reviewing, and developing the mechanical & electrical service to align with the Council's maintenance and development programs.
  • Develop and implement approved maintenance schedules, including statutory testing and servicing contracts.
  • Provide expert technical advice on property maintenance, improvements, and developments.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare budget estimates to guide financial decisions and project planning.
  • Prepare necessary reports for Committee approvals to facilitate project progression within regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within a construction or building services context, including surveying, inspection, and maintenance contracts.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing Mechanical engineers in commercial environments, covering a wide range of mechanical installations.
  • Extensive experience in a public sector role as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Familiarity with schedules of rates.

  • Immediate availability is preferred.
  • Right to work in the U.K. is required.
