Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with established schedules to uphold engineering standards and enhance the operational efficiency of the facility.
- Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) and maintaining rigorous quality assurance protocols.
- Maintaining precise records and documentation related to the electrical and mechanical components of PPM and plant operations.
- Responding promptly to all electrically and mechanically related maintenance requests and issues.
- Performing technical assessments of services and systems, providing detailed reports to management regarding findings.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults associated with both PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Executing minor installation projects related to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Coordinating with specialist subcontractors for electrical and mechanical PPM tasks, including surveying and approving new work.
- Participating in necessary training to enhance skills and fulfill job responsibilities.
- Gaining site Authorised Person (AP) status for High Voltage and/or Mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications, such as City & Guilds Level 2 & 3.
- A proven history in building maintenance.
- Multi-skilled expertise in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Knowledge of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, power distribution, HVAC systems, and high/low voltage systems.
