Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying issues and providing solutions for the management, organisation and delivery of essential administrative processes related to education programmes.
The key areas of focus will be quality of information and documentation, compliance with University regulations, programme content, and management of assessments processes. The post holder will design and implement systems related to quality processes and tracking of information required for professional bodies.
The post holder will be an important member of the Taught Programmes Team, working closely with academic staff and team members to deliver an excellent student experience. The ideal candidate will have a degree-level education and administrative experience, ideally within the field of Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
Experience of developing procedures is desirable, as well as the ability to inform decision making. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, who can balance competing pressures, deadlines and complex demands.
About the School of Engineering and Materials Science
The School of Engineering and Materials Science is a large and diverse community with 110 academics and a similar number of postdoctoral research staff. We have around 1000 undergraduate and taught postgraduate students and 220 PhD students, supported by an administrative and technical staff team of 45.
Staff in the administration office work on campus a minimum of three days a week.
