Job Title: Residential Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Residential Team Leader to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to our young people, while also contributing to the development of our therapeutic care approach.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and guidance to our young people, including developing and implementing individual care plans.
  • Contribute to the development of our therapeutic care approach, including the use of the PACE model and Therapeutic Parenting approaches.
  • Supervise and support a small team of staff, including providing guidance and feedback on their practice.
  • Lead shifts and make well-judged decisions in line with care plans.
  • Develop and implement programmes to improve the progress and interaction of our young people.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Have an understanding of the issues that face young people in care.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Be willing to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Be able to work well as part of a small team.
  • Be willing to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position.
