About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tester to join our Partnerships team at the BBC. As a Tester, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing testing within the team, ensuring the highest quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test data to ensure thorough testing of new features and projects.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to understand, refine, and expand test coverage to ensure testing is performed to the right level.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation test suites to support testing efforts.
  • Participate in fostering a learning culture throughout the organisation by sharing knowledge, engaging in test community, and finding opportunities to develop beyond the team.
Requirements
  • Excellent domain testing skills with a proven strong background in working with various broadcast systems.
  • Experience of testing MHEG/HbbTV interactive TV applications and the specific factors associated with their development, test, and release.
  • Experience of testing applications on devices including TV, STB, Game Console, tablet, and mobile using responsive designs and techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of the TV device development and production lifecycle and how this affects manufacturers, platforms, and content providers.
  • Proven experience initiating and maintaining effective communication at all levels with external organisations across the TV domain.
