About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fabric Maintenance Specialist to join our team at HMP Elmley, a category D, Female 18+ prison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to maintain the smooth and safe operation of the prison.
  • Use hand and power tools to perform a range of tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various backgrounds, including plumbers, electricians, and cleaners.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
