About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fabric Maintenance Operative to join our team at Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL). As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of building fabric, including walls, floors, and roofs.
  • Perform routine inspections and report any defects or issues to the team leader.
  • Operate hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a prison environment or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of building fabric and hard facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification.
