About the Role
As a Finance Business Partner at Tesco, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Clubcard leadership team with financial expertise. This role offers a genuine business partnering opportunity, enabling you to work closely with teams focused on new Clubcard initiatives as part of the future Clubcard strategy. You will contribute to financial analysis from the early stages of proposition development through to launch, ensuring that every decision is made with a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead on the largest investment spend within the Customer area, exceeding £400m
  2. Partner with the Director and wider Membership & Loyalty leadership team to drive financial decision making and key business initiatives
  3. Collaborate with Trade and CRM teams to optimise Sales performance across different activities, including Spend Stretch, Loyalty Card Mailer, and Clubcard challenges
  4. Work closely with the Clubcard Reward team to review and re-negotiate terms of current and new Clubcard partners
  5. Evolve tracking and reporting across key Clubcard propositions, including Christmas Savers, Clubcard Plus subscription, and promotions with Tesco mobile
  6. Partner with the FP&A and Control teams to refresh Clubcard governance, ensuring scheme updates, penetration, redemption, and breakage trends are aligned with business objectives
  7. Work closely with the Customer Insight team & dunnhumby to analyse Clubcard propositions post-launch, providing insights to the Customer leadership team
  8. Lead Clubcard case papers for TAG and IC approvals
Requirements
  1. Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  2. Experience engaging and influencing senior colleagues across non-finance teams
  3. Evolved financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive analysis from scratch
  4. Commercial awareness and an eye for business
  5. Confidence to challenge colleagues and drive business decisions
