Role Overview

We are working with a school in Cheltenham, which is looking for a teaching assistant to support a child with ADHD in Year 6 with their learning and behaviour as part of the 1:1 work. The active child has a flexible schedule and loves sports, so you could utilise your flexible, active, adaptable and practical approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Preparation: Set up classrooms before lessons and maintain a safe, clean environment.
  • Personalized Support: Provide 1:1 care to students with SEN, including those with physical or mental impairments, learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia), ADHD, or ASD.
  • Collaboration: Assist teachers in preparing lessons and providing support to students.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: At least 40 days of experience as a teaching assistant or equivalent.
  • Passion: Genuine interest in working with children with Special Educational Needs.
