We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a Special Educational Needs school in Cheltenham.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children with SEMH needs in individual and group settings
  • Create and deliver engaging learning activities tailored to each child's needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and professionals to develop individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Encourage positive behavior and provide guidance to help children manage their emotions
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
  • Monitor and report on children's progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant or CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
