Job Description for General Cover Teacher

About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a qualified and experienced General Cover Teacher to join our team. As a Cover Teacher, you will provide vital support to students in various secondary schools, creating a safe and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Flexible Schedule: Work on an ad-hoc basis for a week-to-week flexible schedule, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.
  • Student Support: Provide academic support to students, following class teacher's plans and resources, and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Versatility: Teach various subjects, adapting to different school environments and student needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Uphold school behaviour policies, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Background Checks: Obtain Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances, and professional reference checks.
  • Experience: Showcase a CV covering the last 10 years of employment in education.
  • Eligibility: Have the right to work in the UK.
