Job Title: Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team at Torque Consulting. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients' engineering projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage technical tasks to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documents, including operational and maintenance manuals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Research and identify applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards, and maintain evidence of compliance.
  • Develop and implement Quality and Environmental Management Systems, and assess compliance through analysis and testing programs.
  • Prepare technical reports and articles, and proofread and edit documentation for accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in machinery standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role across multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of machinery systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Familiarity with machinery standards (UK Supply of Machinery regulations, European Machinery directive, ISO 12100, ISO, ISO 13850, IEC).
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, effective communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel when required.
  • Strong time management and adaptability.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Automation and robotic experience.
  • Knowledge of 3D printing processes.
