Deputy Nursery Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at The Foundation Stage Forum Ltd. As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS): Ensure that the individual needs and interests of children are met, and their learning journeys are documented and shared with parents and carers.
  • Child Welfare and Safety: Prioritize the welfare and safety of children, and take immediate action on any safeguarding concerns, following Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Work closely with the Manager to develop the nursery's ethos and create a welcoming environment for children and families.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the provision of a high-quality environment that meets the needs of individual children, including those with disabilities, family cultures, and medical histories.
  • Administrative Tasks: Be flexible and undertake other responsible duties, such as domestic tasks, snack meal preparation, and equipment cleaning.
  • Policies and Procedures: Read, understand, and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures for the safe running of the setting.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding children, their families, and other staff.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure good standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare.
  • Experience: 1 year of management experience is desirable.
