Position Overview

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for both full-time and part-time roles within the Medical Assessment/Frailty Unit. As a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for evaluating patient care requirements and developing tailored care plans. Your role will also involve the implementation and assessment of these plans, ensuring the provision of exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be expected to perform all necessary care tasks independently and may be called upon to guide and oversee both registered and unregistered staff, including student nurses.

In the absence of senior leadership, you will assume responsibility for coordinating and supervising the activities of other staff members within the unit, fostering best practices in patient care.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to engage effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Basic proficiency in information technology

Contract Details

This is a permanent position available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with working hours of 37 and 34.1 hours respectively. Please note that part-time salaries will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

Work Environment

The role is situated within the Medical Assessment/Frailty Unit, and the working schedule will involve rotational shifts.
