Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to lead and manage the Human Resources department within a dynamic public sector environment. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of HR practices and the ability to implement strategic initiatives within the public sector.

About the Role

  • Lead and manage the Human Resources department, ensuring effective HR practices and processes are in place.
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive organisational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and Reward, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with Unions to maintain positive relationships and resolve any issues.
  • Implement change management and process improvement initiatives to enhance HR operations.
  • Manage senior stakeholders and the leadership team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, and report regularly on HR metrics to inform decision-making.

About You

A successful candidate should have:

  • Previous experience of working in the public sector, with a strong understanding of HR practices and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
