Position Overview

The Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust is in search of a dedicated, composed, and self-assured individual to join our Business Support Team. The successful candidate will collaborate with both Business Support and Clinical staff within the CFYP Care Group, specifically focusing on the Neurodevelopment Pathway to assist Young People and their families.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

Applicants must demonstrate outstanding time management capabilities, a proactive attitude, and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Proficiency in communication, prioritization, and administrative tasks, along with a solid understanding of IT systems, is essential. Candidates should exhibit flexibility in responding to service demands and possess creative problem-solving skills. Experience in meeting deadlines, working independently, and upholding confidentiality is also crucial.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing electronic patient record systems
  • Monitoring and maintaining waiting lists
  • Coordinating diaries
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Composing correspondence
  • Handling telephone inquiries
  • Providing general administrative support to the broader clinical team
  • Executing additional relevant tasks as assigned, demonstrating adaptability to service needs and changes
  • Encouraging adherence to Trust policies and supporting compliance across all areas
  • Fostering a positive workplace culture in alignment with Trust Values

Prior experience in office administration is required; however, training will be provided.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services or equivalent
  • Intermediate level typing/word processing qualifications (e.g., Pitmans/RSA III)

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Trust electronic record systems

Experience

Essential:

  • Ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in a range of secretarial procedures and systems at an intermediate level
