Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site customer visits with new and existing customers to manage sales volume and expand the customer base.
- Develop and execute profitable business plans for managing accounts, working with sales and corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales.
- Provide market and competitor information to the company and be accountable for attaining assigned sales quota, part margin, and controllable expense objectives.
- Maintain a current and competent base of product knowledge and apply that knowledge when servicing customers.
- Regularly attend company meetings and meet with sales leadership to discuss business results.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification in sales and account management is a plus.
- Knowledge of Miller Heiman's Strategic Selling and Large Account Management Process concepts.
- Prior experience in telesales and possession of proven phone sales skills.
- Knowledge of the company product line.
This role requires occasional overnight travel and regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
