Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Programme Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of projects that deliver aviation training devices to our customers around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives.
  • Manage the project budget, which involves financial analysis, to ensure budgetary objectives are met.
  • Develop a detailed project schedule to monitor and track progress and manage resources.
  • Manage project changes and ensure the baseline is maintained e.g. WBS, schedule, risk register, project budget, and management plans.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report project status to senior management.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially with the client.
  • Responsible for the management of risks and opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and other staff members.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good customer relationship management skills.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to simultaneously focus on the finer project details and the macro picture.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
  • Very strong analytical skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional certification such as APM, PMI, MSP, PRINCE II.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven working experience in project management, preferably within the Aviation or Defence industry in a company producing high-value items with a blend of hardware and software specialists.
  • International travel required.
  • A proactive communicator to all project stakeholders.
