This is an exciting opportunity to join AXIS Insurance, a leading global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance. As a Claims Handler - Commercial Insurance Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and promoting a market-leading claims service to support clients' complex risks and challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Handling: Handle personal injury and property damage claims, as well as claims for other liability classes, for a wide variety of professions and commercial clients written in the Professional Lines Division.
- Client Relationships: Work closely with clients, market leaders, and brokers to ensure a premier claims service is maintained.
- Claim Resolution: Handle claims in a lead capacity from first advice to final settlement, including full analysis of coverage and liability, reserve evaluations, and formulating resolution strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with underwriters, risk managers, in-house counsel, and experts to ensure effective claim resolution.
- Business Development: Engage with other stakeholders, including claims operations, underwriters, actuaries, and Internal Audit, to elevate claims performance and drive business growth.
- Experience: Experience in dealing with personal injury and/or medical malpractice claims or similar in either a claims lead or legal advisory capacity.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulately present in meetings.
- Relationship Building: Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
- Judgment: Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Industry Experience: Ideally, you will have worked in a syndicate, company, or a broker and gained sufficient practical experience in the market place to independently perform the above duties and responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2 and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Professional Qualifications: Legal or professional qualification such as ACII.
