Product Owner - Insurance Claims

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our client's Group Enterprise Systems team, responsible for all business applications within the Claims Function.

The successful candidate will work closely with the claims teams and leadership to set and drive the strategic agenda for all applications within the Claims function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the provision of all Claims applications meet quality, resilience, and usability standards.
  • Collaborate with claims teams to determine roadmaps for applications and manage support teams to achieve goals.
  • Nurture ideas and propose solutions to existing Claims function problems.
  • Manage and develop the team to ensure they have the necessary skills and training.
  • Provide strategic Management Information to stakeholders on project progress and service levels.
  • Adopt a value-focused approach to technology leadership, maximizing commercial return on investment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within insurance, ideally with a technical background in software delivery and digital platforms.
  • Experience in a lead capacity across vendors and internal teams, comfortable working with traditional and agile methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of Insurance and/or claims tools and technologies, specifically externally facing digital platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage complexity in prioritization and stakeholder management.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
