Job Summary:

Edwards & Pearce is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of construction sites in the region, ensuring effective cost control and maintaining the company's high quality and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and directing site staff and contractors
  • Planning and programming site activities and coordinating labour
  • Working closely with the Contracts/Project Manager to ensure work is progressing according to the programme
  • Promptly dealing with issues and planning corrective actions
  • Providing regular updates and attending progress meetings
  • Maintaining the company's high quality and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Previous site management experience, ideally in housing, commercial, and industrial jobs
  • Ability to plan all aspects of construction operations and produce construction programmes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and strong commercial awareness
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and people management skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor when dealing with colleagues, contractors, clients, and others
  • Academic qualification in a construction-related subject (HNC, HND, or Degree)
  • In-date qualifications and training, such as SMSTS, First Aid, Black Managers CSCS card, asbestos awareness, working at height, and scaffold inspection
  • Full driving licence
