About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Safety Engineer to join our Defence & Security business. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of safety justification documentation for nuclear infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging Defence projects, collaborating with major clients in the UK and overseas. You will have the chance to contribute to the development of safety requirements within designs for complex facilities, systems, and equipment.

As a Digital Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring technical quality and excellence in your work, adhering to business and quality management systems, and promoting a good safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining safety justification documentation for nuclear infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety requirements are met.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to colleagues.
Requirements
  • HND or Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline or a Professionally Registered Engineer.
  • Experience in nuclear or nuclear defence engineering or a similar highly regulated environment.
  • Experience of Safety Case production, Hazard Listing, Fault Schedules, Safety Class Analysis, Safety Functional Requirements, Operational Constraints.
