Business Unit Director

MCS Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Unit Manager to lead the Composites division. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for driving the sustainability, growth, and operational excellence of the business unit.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of operational management experience within a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of delivering operational solutions in areas such as workforce planning, efficiency improvements, and problem-solving. You will also have knowledge of process mapping and continuous improvement techniques, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Leadership and People Management- Provide leadership and oversight to ensure operational success
- Manage and develop a high-performing team
- Manage budgets and implement cost control improvements
- Drive tangible business improvements
- Develop and implement business improvement programmes
- Conduct skills gap analysis and training and development
