Business Unit Director

MCS Group is excited to recruit for a Business Unit Manager (Composites) on behalf of a well-established, highly successful manufacturing client based in the region.
About the RoleThis business is at the forefront of ground-breaking technological advances, offering best-in-class solutions and products to the market. As the Business Unit Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the sustainability, growth, and operational excellence of the composites business unit.
Key Responsibilities- Drive and deliver tangible benefits to the business through robust business improvement programmes
- Provide clear leadership and governance to all members of the team
- Manage and develop a high-performing team to achieve business objectives
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure the ongoing sustainability, growth, and success of the business
- Minimum of 5 years of operational management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in delivering operational solutions in areas such as workforce planning, efficiency improvements, and problem-solving
- Knowledge of process mapping and continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
