About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administration Manager to join our busy Out of Hours service in Uxbridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the wider rota team, ensuring all rotas are produced in advance of all services, and meeting relevant CQC standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Recruitment, selection, and induction of new rota administrators, including ongoing training
- Line management of Rota staff and administrators, including performance management, time-keeping, and sickness/leave monitoring
- Ensuring operational staff understand the importance of their role in delivering effective, efficient, caring, and positive service to patients
- Meeting National Quality Requirements in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality
- Reviewing and acting on Assessment Pool performance and Call centre shift reports
- Communicating updates to the Call centre team and maintaining good communication links with operational staff, managers, and clinicians
- Carrying out annual appraisals and ensuring the care and motivation of all rota administrators
Requirements
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- High-level people management skills
- Compassionate with the ability to interact well with team members, patients, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work effectively and accurately using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of the confidential nature of the work
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
- Handle difficult situations in a calm, effective, and professional manner
