Job Title: Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to join our immunisation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the team to ensure vaccination programmes are delivered on time and results are achieved in line with contract specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage teams, including performance management, absence management, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the service in their borough.
  • Model core values, foster a harmonious work environment, and inspire teams to produce exceptional work.
  • Plan, maintain, and manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage for administrators and nurses.
  • Ensure calendars for school immunisation sessions and catch-up clinics are completed in line with contract KPIs.
  • Manage consent form processing and Patient Group Directives (PGDs) for Immunisations.
  • Review uptake figures and collaborate with schools and management to implement improvement plans.
  • Handle stock ordering and arrange transportation of vaccinations.
  • Actively contribute to team meetings and support the Programme Manager.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Knowledge of performance metrics and excellent communication skills.
  • Organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Assertive, team player, and critical thinker with excellent IT skills and advanced MS Excel.
