Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources Ltd. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training program. You will work on average 38 hours per week, with a 2 days on and 4 days off shift pattern, including 2 sleep-ins. In addition, you will be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to young people with challenging behavior
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and nurturing environment
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to promote positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of young people's progress and well-being
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Full manual driving license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathetic nature and ability to engage with young people
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable)
