Contract: Part Time, permanent

Hours: 19 hours per week

Salary: Unqualified: Up to £14,820.52 pro rata (£29,641.04 FTE) with one sleep in shift

Qualified: Up to £15,452.84 pro rata (£30,905.68 FTE) with one sleep in shift

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with young people to promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and external partners
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including sleep-in shifts

Requirements:

  • Qualified to QCF level 3 in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification which will be fully funded
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Full manual driving license essential
