Location: Lydney

Contract: Part Time, permanent

Hours: 19 hours per week

Salary: Unqualified: Up to £14,820.52 pro rata (£29,641.04 FTE) with one sleep in shift

Qualified: Up to £15,452.84 pro rata (£30,905.68 FTE) with one sleep in shift

Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with young people with challenging behavior, providing individualized support and care to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, promoting positive relationships and behaviors.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work flexibly, including sleep-ins, to ensure the needs of the young people are met.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to QCF level 3 in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification which will be fully funded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the young people.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Full manual driving license essential.
